Birth Week

To start off this long post I just want to say, isn't she adorable!
So I had been having contractions a lot the weeks leading up to Casen’s birth. At 38 weeks I had Sue, the midwife, check me. I was not dilated but was 70% effaced. I had Casey blow up the birthing tub, so it was already to go. This was Tuesday March 27, Kenton told me I was welcome to have the baby on his birthday...I told him I wish!

That Saturday we went to the Easter and enjoyed seeing my family perform. It was a dress rehearsal so we sat on the front row....wow it was awesome. My dad had the opportunity to play the blind man and It was so neat to see him be healed by Jesus.

Fast forward a week to Friday April 6th. Joycelyn came home and surprised the family. She had been working at Disney world in Florida. We were missing her terribly. We had lunch at moms house and everyone was so happy and excited to see Joycelyn.

The kids played with the baby chicks and we picked peas. It was heavenly to be outside together
We even dyed Easter eggs for the party the next day.
I really wanted to have the baby on this date but no such luck.
Saturday Morning we went to Grandma Bevell's Easter Egg Hunt.

Adria enjoyed gathering eggs with Grandpa Durfee's help :)
It was fun and I was happy I felt well enough to go.
Easter Sunday we went to church, still no baby. You get to the point were you feel so huge and uncomfortable you are ready for the baby to be out of you. Yup I got there. Actually I really enjoyed sacrament meeting and hearing the beautiful choir and other musical numbers.
Adria wore her special Easter dress. She looked so beautiful! My mom was my hero and helped sew on some sleeves. It turned out fabulous :) Thankyou grandma!!! She also wore the shoes that Grandpa Durfee got her from Florida.

The Fun part was the dress came with a doll dress too. Adria was thrilled to match her baby :)
Monday Morning Adria played dress up with the items from her easter basket
For FHE we went  to the desert with my family at the Lehi Monument
We cooked hamburgers and had a little fire. It was so fun spending time with all of them.
